It's Christmas!!! We are all so excited about the start of our Christmas celebrations. On Friday we received a special package in Class 1; our very own Christmas Elf. He lost his name tag and asked for a new name. The children had lots of fun writing letters to the Elf and Father Christmas suggesting a new name.
As we continue our topic all about Explorers we will be writing fact files about our favourite explorers. The children are using phonics in their writing everyday and are keen to remember the rules for writing a sentence; capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
In maths the children have begun to master addition and subtraction to 10. We are using number stories and then writing number sentences.
For Science this week we will set up our outdoor weather station to record the weather. We have learnt about the change in the amount of daylight we have during Autumn and Winter.
We have been rehearsing our nativity, tomorrow your child will come home with a slip of paper telling you their part and any clothes we might need.
