Welcome to Mill Lane Community Primary School and Windmill Community Nursery. The school is set in extensive grounds at the foot of the Chiltern Hills; it was built in 1974 to accommodate an increasing number of children as the village of Chinnor expanded.
We have created a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which children can develop as unique individuals and where they develop emotional, social and academic skills needed to become independent and responsible members of the community.
We are a one-form entry school where staff know every child well ensuring children feel secure in the knowledge that he or she is a valued and significant member of our community. The school is set in extensive grounds with a beautiful environmental area, wide open spaces, pond and children's garden area.
We are fortunate to have a nursery class, which enables us to provide continuity of education for children from the age of 3, during their most formative years. We also have a toddler group on Tuesday mornings, 9am to 11am. Everyone is welcome to drop in to these sessions.
Ofsted Report 2020 'Parents value highly the wide range of opportunities provided for their children. Parents are rightly confident that the School prepares their children well for the next stages of their education and beyond.'
This website can only give you a limited insight into life at Mill Lane School of which we are all enormously proud. If you wish to come and visit us you will be made very welcome and we will be able to show you what makes our school and our children so special.
We are currently updating our website so please be patient as we make some necessary changes to give you a greater feel as to what Mill Lane School is like. There will be more photos and videos to help you look round the school at a time when physical visits are not possible.
We look forward to welcoming you back in person as soon as possible.
