Tapestry at Mill Lane School

Each pupil at Mill Lane now has an individual Tapestry online learning journal which can be accessed from home using the Tapestry website or App.

Teachers regularly update Tapestry and parents/carers will be able to view many of the activities that their child has been up to whilst at school. Evidence takes the form of photographs, written observations and pieces of work. Some of these are also linked to curriculum assessments which show how a child or group performed in a particular task. As the assessments are task-specific, they do not necessarily reflect the child's overall ability in a particular area.

Some observations will be individual to the child, some will be from group tasks and others may well be for the whole class, such as when a trip or special event has taken place.

Parents and carers are also able to comment on Tapestry posts and can even add their own observations from home, which help build up a broader picture of each individual child both in and out of school.

Below you will find links to the Tapestry website, along with helpful documents and videos which will explain how Tapestry works in more detail.
