Monday
After an early start we set off for Kilvrough! We had a short stop for a snack at magor services in Wales. After arriving at Kilvrough the children organised their rooms and enjoyed their packed lunches in the dining room. We then got into our groups and participated in a range of team building activities which allowed the children to familiarise themselves with the grounds and property. We then had our dinner of fish fingers, beans and mash which all of the children enjoyed! We were straight outside afterwards doing orienteering in the dark. Tuesday
What a fantastic day, we are just so proud of all of the children! Group A were climbing at Pobbles Bay, all of the children loved the activities which included abseiling and scrambling. They enjoyed lunch with a view and beautiful sunny weather. Group B walked the four waterfalls walk in Brecon Beacons national park. It was very picturesque and the children enjoyed going behind the waterfall and getting absolutely soaked! There were lots of tired children in group B after walking all day but they thoroughly enjoyed themselves! Group C were at Foxhole Bay doing some climbing. Every child managed to scale the second climb and we had lots of happy faces with big proud smiles. This evening, all of the children loved our dinner of Spaghetti Bolognese followed by some magical den building in the Forrest. We had some secret passageways, glowing torch campfires and fantastic team work all around. This just goes to show how valuable our Forrest school sessions are at school! This was pointed out by one of the amazing instructors who was very impressed. Everyone is very excited for our day tomorrow!

Wednesday
Another fantastic day in the Gower! Group A were Canoeing at Neath Canal. The children enjoyed working in as a team and playing different games on the water. They were especially impressive changing their boats on the water! Group B were climbing at Foxhole Bay. The children loved scrambling over the rocks and having lots of free time to explore. We were amazed by some children climbing the cliff blindfolded! Group C were canoeing at Neath Canal and were on the water quickly. The children worked in unfamiliar pairs and everyone got on fantastically. We managed to get all the way to the lock! This evening the children had roast chicken dinner and then went on a lovely evening walk to Pennard Castle overlooking Three Cliffs Bay. We watched a myriad of constellations over the beautiful meandering river below. The children have behaved impeccably and have represented the school so well, we are all very proud. The weather is stunning and everyone is so excited for our activities tomorrow! Well done Class 6!

Thursday
Another fantastic day at Kilvrough, with absolutely stunning weather! Group A enjoyed the fabulous four waterfalls walk. The children got stuck in the mud and went behind a crashing waterfall! They were soaked but had a wonderful time. Group B were canoeing at Neath Canal, they enjoyed splashing about on the water and some even took an accidental plunge! Oops! Group C were also doing the four waterfalls walk. The children enjoyed learning lots about nature and going behnind the beautiful cascading waterfall. This evening the children enjoyed pizza and a delicious pudding. We then started packing and completed our evaluation forms. We are so proud of the children and cannot wait for our final day on the beach tomorrow!

Friday
An absolutely fantastic last day, we have all had the best time! We were up bright and early in order to pack and get ourselves ready. Then the whole class were off on the minibuses to have a day at the beach. We made beach sculptures and went rockpooling. We found crabs, shells and beautiful rocks. The weather was delightful and we enjoyed eating lunch by the lighthouse. Once we were back at the centre we got on the bus and will be home in time for dinner!
The children have been absolutely wonderful this week we are just so proud how they have represented the school. All of them have given their all to their activities and responsibilities and have shown kindness, resilience and teamwork. Well done to all!
