Welcome to Mill Lane Community Primary School and The Windmill Foundation Unit. The school is set in extensive grounds at the foot of the Chiltern Hills; it was built in 1974 to accommodate an increasing number of children as the village of Chinnor expanded.
Our aim is to create a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which children can develop as unique individuals and where the activities they undertake will help them to acquire and develop emotional, social and academic skills needed to become independent and responsible people.
We are a one-form entry school and the advantage of a school this size is that most staff know every child by name ensuring the children feel secure in the knowledge that he or she is a valued and significant member of our community. We are fortunate to have a Foundation Stage 2 class, which enables us to provide continuity of education for children from the age of 3, during their most formative years.
This website can only give you a limited insight into life at Mill Lane School of which we are all enormously proud. If you wish to come and visit us you will be made very welcome and we will be able to show you what makes our school and our children so special.
