Mill Lane Community Primary School & Windmill Community Nursery
Together We can Succeed
Welcome to Mill Lane Community Primary School and The Windmill Community Nursery. The school is set in extensive grounds at the foot of the Chiltern Hills; it was built in 1974 to accommodate an increasing number of children as the village of Chinnor expanded.
We have created a happy, secure and stimulating environment in which children can develop as unique individuals and where they develop emotional, social and academic skills needed to become independent and responsible members of the community.
We are a one-form entry school where staff know every child well ensuring children feel secure in the knowledge that he or she is a valued and significant member of our community. The school is set in extensive grounds with a beautiful environmental area, wide open spaces, pond and children's garden area.
Ofsted June 2016: We have established a school that is truly at the heart of its community. It also highlighted how we worked well in partnership with parents to support the learning of their children, living up to our vision of 'together we can succeed'.
We are fortunate to have a Foundation Stage 2 class, which enables us to provide continuity of education for children from the age of 3, during their most formative years. We also run a parent and toddler session every Friday morning at 9.15am to 11.15am. Everyone is welcome to drop in to these sessions.
This website can only give you a limited insight into life at Mill Lane School of which we are all enormously proud. If you wish to come and visit us you will be made very welcome and we will be able to show you what makes our school and our children so special.
