Years 3 and 4

Welcome to Years 3 and 4!
Collaborative Christmas Project
The Snowman
Classes 3 and 4 have been busy working on a collaborative Christmas project for the last few weeks based on the story and film of 'The Snowman.' As we were not able to do our usual Christmas performances to parents, we felt this was a different way of sharing our work for all to see.
Here you can read our story book and view a movie of our artwork.
Harvest Festival - Tuesday 6th October
All is safely gathered in...
We were inundated with generous donations for the Years 3 and 4 Harvest Festival. These will be donated to the Thame & District Food Bank where they can then be shared among those in need in the local community.
In our classes, we thought about what we are thankful for and investigated the history and significance of harvest time through the ages.
Many children produced artwork and some also chose to write about the harvest in different ways. We also made a collaborative wheatsheaf using bread dough, which is a harvest tradition at Mill Lane!
In the afternoon, we gathered for a ‘socially distanced’ assembly where the two classes shared stories, poems and other pieces of work with each other. The children also performed a rhythmic harvest samba, using shakers they have made during the last few weeks.
